Chairman Human Rights Movement (HRM) Muhammad Nasir Iqbal Khan, Central Secretary General Muhammad Raza Advocate and General Secretary Punjab Haji Muhammad Saleem have said that the rulers seem to have failed in controlling over the price-hike. They said that rupees 3 stop to stop increase in fares are anti-people step taken by the government the burden of which would put on the common man. Addressing a meeting here on Sunday, they said the rulers were filling their own pockets and were least interested with miseries of the poor people, majority of whom was deprived of bread. They said the layman in Pakistan was in great trouble due to hike in essential commodities. They said the increase in prices of petrol and diesel had forced them to commit suicides, the apex court, therefore, should take notice of it.
Nasir Iqbal Khan further said that the Prime Minister and Chief Minister elected with the votes of the people were exploiting the people. He said the rulers using free of cost petrol and vehicles had no sympathy with the problems of the people and even the assemblies including the Punjab Assembly did not pass resolution against the hike in petroleum prices. He said the politicians were sucking blood of the people for their vested interests unite, adding that the present rotten system was not in position top protects rights of the poor segments of the society and nobody would come on roads to save them. He said the people in Pakistan were being ridiculed in the name of democracy and only the independent judiciary was their last hope to console them
